Celestial Beings - Angels

Often we hear about people who have died and someone will say... They earned their wings, and the wonderful Movie "It's a Wonderful Life" where the Angel, Clarence earned his wings... ???

I've decided to look into this to have a better understanding of the difference between Angel and Human...

Angels are created by God just like humans. But, Angels are a Celestial Being made of only a Spirit. Human is a Physical Being created by God where his spirit  lives inside of the body.
Will we ever really understand the Angels until we die? Probably not. Celestial Beings are a complex order for sure.  We've been taught that there are different Spheres of Angels.

1st Sphere of Angels - Seraphim, Cherubim, Thrones... This is the highest ranking sphere of the Angels.

2nd Sphere of Angels - Dominations, Virtues, and Powers are in the middle of the ranking sphere.

3rd Sphere of Angels - Principalities, Archangels, Angels and Personal Guardian Angels, which are the lowest ranking sphere. These Angels are also the most commonly known to us Humans Beings, where we often see them referred to and referenced and mentioned in the Bible.

My deep understanding is that Angels are Spirits, yes and Humans are Humans who were created to procreate life, and to give glory to God... One big difference is that Angels do not procreate life and cannot received the Holy Sacraments. We Humans don't earn our "Wings" when we cross over to the Afterlife, where we may or maynot have earned our way into Heaven. I just found in the prior post on St. Augustine the thought of Angels being Spirits first and called "Angel" was the name of a function not the Angels nature. Maybe I will understand this more and can share when and if clarity comes to me...

Humans in Heaven are called Saints... Not Angels... We never earn our Wings... But do Angels earn their wings? I don't know... Bless you!
