Novena - St. Michael the Archangel

St. Michael the Archangel

Prayer to Saint Michael the Archangel

Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle;
be our safeguard against
the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray:
and you, O prince of the heavenly host,
by the power of God,
cast down to hell Satan and the other evil spirits,
who prowl through the world for the ruin of souls.
Amen.

Prayer quoted from Pray More Novenas...

"As we begin, let's pray that we may be more like St. Michael the Archangel in our obedience to God."

"Aside from our daily intentions, you can always have your own intentions when praying these novenas. You can share your prayer intentions with us all here.

St. Michael the Archangel is often invoked for healing and protection.

We're praying for you and for your intentions every day. "

"Here are the prayers for today:

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

St. Michael the Archangel, we honor you as a powerful protector of the Church and guardian of our souls. Inspire us with your humility, courage and strength that we may reject sin and perfect our love for our Heavenly Father.

In your strength and humility, slay the evil and pride in our hearts so that nothing will keep us from God.

Day 1: St. Michael the Archangel, pray that we may be blessed by God with the zeal to live our lives in accordance with Christ’s teachings.

Day 2: St. Michael the Archangel, pray that we may have the grace to see the image of God in the least of our brothers and sisters.

Day 3: St. Michael the Archangel, pray that we may be protected from the snares of the devil, that we may avoid all occasions of sin.

Day 4: St. Michael the Archangel, pray that we may have an overwhelming desire to humble ourselves before God in service to His Will.

Day 5: St. Michael the Archangel, pray for our humility.

Day 6: St. Michael the Archangel, pray that we may have the faith to truly entrust our lives to the loving care of our Heavenly Father.

Day 7: St. Michael the Archangel, pray that we may have the grace to joyfully dedicate everything that we do to the greater glory of God.

Day 8: St. Michael the Archangel, pray that we may have the will to faithfully obey God in all of His commandments.

Day 9: St. Michael the Archangel, pray that we may have the grace to share eternity with our Heavenly Father.

St. Michael the Archangel, you are the prince of angels but in your humility you recognized that God is God and you are but His servant. Unlike satan, you were not overcome with pride but were steadfast in humility. Pray that we will have this same humility.

It is in the spirit of that humility that we ask for your intercession for our petitions…

(state your petitions)

“Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.”

Amen.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Amen."

Kingly Heart

Don't judge... "Love"
Matthew 7 1-2
"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."

PRAY... The future is at a crossroad

Our Lady of Medjugorje

January 25, 2023 - Monthly Message to Marija

"Dear children! Pray with me for peace, because Satan wants war and hatred in hearts and peoples. Therefore, pray and sacrifice your days by fasting and penance, that God may give you peace. The future is at a crossroads, because modern man does not want God. That is why mankind is heading to perdition. You, little children, are my hope. Pray with me, that what I began in Fatima and here may be realized. Be prayer and witness peace in your surroundings, and be people of peace. Thank you for having responded to my call."

A Just Soul

"A Just Soul has so much power over my Heart that it can obtain,
forgiveness for thousands of criminals."

What does this mean... "A Just Soul"?

Perhaps it means a person who desires to live in harmony with his God...

A loving person that does no harm to others.

Kindness that never ceases.

Someone who is helpful and puts others before themselves.

Holy and devout, a person that walks with God all day long...

Is this possible... ?

~~~
"The Sacred Heart of Jesus"
Yes, a Human Heart... that stopped beating from the nasty things we humans do, called sin.
God so loved us, that he created a baby, His son by the Holy Spirit.
A very pure little girl, named Mary was chosen to be His Earthly Mother,
because she was "A Just Soul".
So do we have to be as pure as Mother Mary to be A Just Soul?
 We humans are a total mess... how could we ever be "A Just Soul"?
~~~

This is how... by you loving your Creator, His Holy Spirit, and His Son.

And to honor the little girl named Mary that said "YES".

Is it possible for normal humans to be "A Just Soul"?

Perhaps!

You can't be "A JUST SOUL" all on your own...

Just ask for His help...

For there's nothing too big for Jesus.

Yes, you can be pretty nice and sweet...

But, you too have faults that need to be worked on.

~~~
YOU NEED JESUS' SACRED HEART
YES YOU DO!!!
We all do!
How do you attain this...???
~~~

YES...You're thinking now... that's called progress, but you still don't know... ?

There is a devotion that was created...

"The Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus"

There are promises and prayers... but, most of all,

it's what's in your own heart that matters.

Are you willing to sacrifice time, space, perhaps things to allow this devotion to take place?

You say... What now?

What is this devotion... ?

Stay close to this Blog for we are going to take you step by step...

Let us start with this simple prayer for today...

"Oh my Jesus... Save us from the Fires of Hell and lead all Souls to Heaven,

especially those who are in most need of Your Mercy" Amen.

Santo Niรฑo de Cebรบ - Baby Jesus

 Santo Niรฑo de Cebรบ Prayer

3rd Sunday of January every year...

We celebrate...

"The discovery of the 7100 island archipelago in the Philippines has been linked to Spain's glorious chain of conquests. On September 20, 1519, a fleet of five galleons commanded by Portuguese Navigator Ferdinand Magellan at the service of the king and queen of Spain set sailed from San Lucar de Barrameda to search for the Spice Islands. They did not find the spice island, instead they landed in Limasawa, a small island south of Leyte in the central part of the Philippines. Magellan took possession of the islands and named it after King Philip of Spain.

Magellan's expedition headed for Cebu and found the island very hospitable. He made Cebu the base of his exploration, Christianization and conquests. King Humabon and Queen Juana of Cebu gave
 him a warm reception and embraced Christianity as well. As gratitude to his hospitality, Magellan agreed to fight with king Humabon who was at war with the neigboring tribe in Mactan island. Magellan was killed in the battle. His men returned to Spain, and that same expedition has also set the record as the first to circumnavigate the earth.

Spain sent another expedition to the Far East Region. An Augustinian priest, named Andres Urdaneta, a world-known cosmographer who lived inside the monastic walls of the Augustinian monastery in Mexico was summoned to lead the expedition. On November 21, a memorable expedition left Mexico for the Philippines and arrived in Cebu on April 27, 1565."

"DISCOVERY OF THE IMAGE OF THE SANTO NINO
Because of Cebuanos suspicion that the Spaniards return has bringing retribution to Magellan's death, another battle broke out. But heavy artilleries and huge cannons forced the natives to flee to the mountain leaving behind their villages burnt to the ground. As Spanish soldiers surveyed the debris of the village, a soldier found an image of the Child Jesus under the pile of ashes unscathed inside a wooden box.

As earlier authenticated entry in the Journal of Pigafetta, clerk in the Magellan expedition, explained the origin of Santo Nino: "On the day Queen Juana was baptized by Father Pedro Valderama, chaplain of that expedition, Pigaffeta himself presented her with the Image." The same Image now lies in the Basilica del Santo Nino and become a favorite destination for millions of pilgrims each year. For four and half centuries now, the Image of Santo Nino continues to make wonders in the lives of many Filipinos. On the third Sunday of each year, in Cebu, millions will flock to the streets in Cebu for a colorful festivity, honoring the Santo Nino and placing the Island and the entire Philippines under His Patronage.

During the last World War, a bomb fell inside the Church but the Image was recovered unscathed. It was one of the numerous miracles and powers attributed to the Holy Image.
In 1965 the historic Santo Nino Church was renovated for the observance of the Fourth Centenary of the Christianization of the Philippines held in Cebu City. It was during the centennial celebration that the Sacred Congregation of Rites elevated the Santo Nino Church to the rank of Basilica Minore with all the rights and privileges accruing to such title."

Epiphany Blessing 20+C+M+B+23

The True Meaning of Christmas...
The 3 Kings... Magi... The Wisemen

The Epiphany and the House Blessing

January 6th, 2023
The Epiphany of Our Lord, Jesus Christ...

Epiphany Blessing 20+C+M+B+23

May Christ Bless this House

๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฌ + ๐—– + ๐—  + ๐—• + ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฏ

"The letters have two meanings. They are the initials of the traditional names of the Three Magi: Caspar, Melchior and Balthasar. They also abbreviate the Latin words ๐˜พ๐™๐™ง๐™ž๐™จ๐™ฉ๐™ช๐™จ ๐™ข๐™–๐™ฃ๐™จ๐™ž๐™ค๐™ฃ๐™š๐™ข ๐™—๐™š๐™ฃ๐™š๐™™๐™ž๐™˜๐™–๐™ฉ (May Christ bless the house). The letters recall the day on which the inscription is made, as well as the purpose of blessing."

"The crosses represent the protection of the Precious Blood of Christ, whom we invoke, and the holiness of the Three Magi sanctified by their adoration of the Infant Christ. The inscription is made above the front door, so that all who enter and depart this year may enjoy God’s blessing."

"The month of January still bears the name of the Roman god Janus, the doorkeeper of heaven and protector of the beginning and end of things. This blessing “christens” the ancient Roman observance of the first month. The inscription is made of chalk normally, (I used a pencil above the inside of my door PSJ) which is a product of clay, which recalls the human nature taken by the Adorable and Eternal Word of God in the womb of the Virgin Mary, by the power of the Holy Spirit.

To bless your home this Epiphany, READ THE PROLOGUE OF ST. JOHN'S GOSPEL John 1:1-18
The Word became Flesh!

Followed by OUR FATHER, and the COLLECT OF THE EPIPHANY:
"O God, Who by the leading of a star didst, as on this day, manifest thine Only-begotten Son to the Gentiles, mercifully grant that we, which know thee now by faith, may after this life have the fruition of thy glorious Godhead: Through the same Jesus Christ, thy Son, Our Lord, Who liveth and reigneth with thee in the unity of the Holy Ghost, God, world without end. Amen."

Then write the inscription for this year above your front door with blessed chalk. The lintel of the main door of the house (and other doors if desired) is marked by a senior member of the household (usually the father) in the following way:  ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฌ + ๐—– + ๐—  + ๐—• + ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฏ

Whilst saying the following prayer:
"The Three Wise Men, Caspar (write the letter C), Melchior (write the letter M) and Balthazar (write the letter B ) followed the star of God’s Son Who became man, Two Thousand (write the numbers 20 in front) and Twenty-three years ago (write the numbers 23 at the end). May Christ bless our home (inscribe the first two crosses between 20 and C and between C and M), and remain with us through the new year (then the last two crosses between M and B and between B and 23)."

"Almighty God, incline your ear. Bless us and all who are gathered here. Send your holy angel who will defend us and fill with grace all who dwell here. R. Amen." The senior member may then proceed to sprinkle the interior of the home with the blessed Epiphany Water."

Novena in Memory of Pope Benedict XVI

Novena in Memory of Pope Benedict XVI

"The Catholic Church is mourning the death of our Holy Father, Benedict XVI. In all churches the Holy Eucharist is being offered for the repose of his soul.

We are asking God to bestow his infinite mercy on him, a humble man who served the Catholic Church as it's Vicar, the Bishop of Rome.

The novena I've shared below was presented by USCCB.OrG to pray for His Holiness, Pope Benedict XVI. This daily novena – from his funeral on Thursday, January 5 through Friday, January 13 – is of short readings from Holy Scripture and some Ecclesiastical Text. There are also brief prayers for us laity, including prayers from the Roman Missal and the Order of Christian Funerals."
